01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Stepping away from the usual naan-and-curry formula, Namaste focuses on everyday Nepali home-style cooking. The signature dal bhat set centers on a light, brothy lentil soup paired with steamed rice, vegetable curry, komatsuna mustard spinach saag, and savory achar pickles, letting you mix and balance each component across the plate. Diners can also choose a roti set or a special thali set with choices such as bone-in mutton, all seasoned with bright, fragrant spices that comfort from the inside out.

Beyond hearty meal platters, the menu features a wide selection of street-food snacks from Nepal and India, including crisp pani puri filled with spiced broth and steamed momo dumplings. It works just as well for an evening drink alongside spiced tidbits, and the kitchen extends further with Chinese-style stir-fries as well as quick kebab sandwiches and kebab rice bowls served straight from the storefront counter.

Near the entrance, shelves are stocked with imported staples including beans, seasoning mixes, and timur (Nepali peppercorn). Further inside, well-spaced tables offer a relaxed setting for a sit-down meal. Whether stopping by for a hearty lunchtime set or settling in for an evening of varied small plates, it is an easygoing spot suited to everyday dining.
